Nexium Control is indicated for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms such as heartburn and acid Regurgitation in adults. For continuous 24-hour protection from heartburn. Weight - carrying extra weight can put extra pressure on oesophageal valve Food - Example Spicy/acidic foods or rich/fatty foods Stress - lack of sleep or anxiety etc Smoking - Smoking can trigger heartburn or make it feel worse    How long does Nexium work for ? Nexium works for up 24 hours , so taking 1 tablet per day as needed is enough to relieve heart burn symtoms.   How to Use Oral use Take one tablet once a day. Do not exceed this dose. The tablets should be swallowed whole. Do not chew or crush the tablets. May take 2-3 days for full effect; many people start to experience relief of symptoms within 24 hours.
